Let me begin this review by telling you this pedal sucks. I was looking for a cheap blues pedal and got even less than what I paid for it. I bought the pedal by accident, I was shopping around with this pedal, a Washburn blues overdrive, and cart full of unrelated stuff. Somewhere along the way I deleted the other pedal and ended up with this one in the mail. For what it's worth it does okay as a pedal; however, it eats batteries like crazy and it pretty much just stopped working after the first month of owning it.

This is a good pedal, but it won't do miracles.
I can get a similar kind of over-drive sound with my cheap amp. The pedal provides a much cleaner distortion (if that makes sense.) You can crank this think up to have a lot of overdrive and then you've kind of got a fuzz-face sound going, which is nice.
There are some decent youtube reviews of this, check them out. You can push this pedal pretty far to the distortion side of things, or you can hold it back. Even if you turn the overdrive way down and just add the level, it adds a nice warmth to your tone (and makes it louder).
It would help if i owned a better sounding guitar to help with the sound equation, but it still works great!

I got the Behringer Blues Overdrive Pedal for Christmas. I've got other Behringer pedals and generally like them. They work and the prices are good. I wanted an overdrive pedal to round out my compliment of pedals. I've never been a great fan of overdrive/distortion effects, but it can be useful, and any accomplished musician should probably have one in his arsenal. So, I played with this for a couple of hours the day after Christmas. What can I say... it does what it is supposed to do. It makes the sound dirty, and it is capable of adding LOTS of gain. So now, if I need it, I got it. The unit itself is plastic, but very sturdy. I wouldn't worry about it. Not much more to say. It's a pretty basic device, and it works.
